Production Assistant-Video Archive(Temp Position)
KSN is looking for an individual to fill a part-time, temporary position to digitize KSN's video archives. Position includes playing videos using multiple video tape file formats including DVCAM, MII and DVD and digitizing, categorizing and naming files for future use. Schedule is coordinated by supervisor in the newsroom and can be flexible, after initial training, as long as progress benchmarks are being met. Position is in-person at KSNW, Wichita, Kansas, using equipment provided by the station, under supervision of news team and management. Temporary position is for fall of 2025.

Responsibilities:
• Process and arrange catalog of video tapes
• Convert from video tape into digital format
• Create basic naming/text files of content for searching file stories
• Estimated 15-20 hours per week, no more than 29 hours per week

Requirements & Skills:
• Basic editing skills (this is not a specialized editing position), training provided
• Strong attention to detail
• Position is ideal for a college student looking for flexible hours
