What We Do
We drive adoption and usage for Unreal Engine and provide our customers with the tools and support to make amazing visual projects in the Unreal Engine.
What You'll Do
As a Business Development Director focused on the Games vertical, you will play a key role in growing Unreal Engine adoption across Greater China's game development community. You'll be a key voice of the customer, helping align Epic's offerings with developer needs, while working cross-functionally to shape deals, solve technical problems, and support long-term strategic relationships. This role requires deep market knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across cultures, time zones, and disciplines.
In this role, you will
• Identify and execute high-impact business development opportunities with game developers, publishers, and platforms throughout the Greater China region
• Negotiate licensing deals with developers, publishers, and platforms for their use of the Unreal Engine and related Epic tools
• Own relationships with key partners, continually maximizing their use of, and benefit from our tools
• Collaborate with internal product, technical, and marketing teams to align customer needs with Epic's offerings and ensure an excellent developer experience
• Maintain a strong understanding of game development pipelines, engine technology, and how UE competes in the market
• Expertly represent to voices of game developers back to internal stakeholders, constantly improving Epic's ability to offer game devs best-in-class solutions
What we're looking for
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in the games industry, with a proven track record of working across AAA, AA, indie, and/or mobile game developers
• Experience in a sales or business development capacity working with the game developer community in the Greater China region
• Highly motivated, goal-oriented, self starter capable of working at a high level in a team or on their own
• Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally with technical, product, and legal teams
• Intimate knowledge of the games community in the Greater China region
• Strong connections in the games community
• Experience negotiating with international organizations
• Strong communication and presentation skills in both Mandarin and English
• Passion for games and a desire to support developers in bringing their visions to life using Unreal Engine
