Job Title: SVP, Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Legal
A little bit about our team: The corporate legal team is located in the NY headquarters of Warner Music Group (''WMG'') and in WMG's London office. The corporate legal team supports WMG and its recorded music and music publishing operating companies in all corporate legal matters, including technology, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), real estate, securities, compliance, employment and benefits, records management, trademark, litigation, privacy, digital and intellectual property.
Your role:
• Lead a team of in-house lawyers dedicated to the structuring, negotiation and drafting of all M&A transaction documents and the selection and supervision of outside counsel in that process
• Oversee competition/antitrust review of M&A transactions
• Work with Corporate Development to identify M&A opportunities consistent with the company's strategic goals and to develop and maintain a global pipeline of potential acquisition targets
• Work with Corporate Development on comprehensive financial analysis, modeling and valuation of potential targets, assessing their financial performance, growth potential and synergistic value
• Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams across the company, including Corporate Development, Finance, People, A&R, Marketing, Operations and Technology, to ensure alignment and support throughout the M&A process and successful post-acquisition integration
• In collaboration with Corporate Development, provide strategic guidance and recommendations to the company's executive leadership team and the board of directors on M&A opportunities, risks and progress
• Provide counsel on corporate housekeeping, vendor agreements and real estate agreements
About you:
• J.D. and authorization to practice law as in-house based in New York
• Minimum of 15 years of M&A legal experience
• Substantial structuring, drafting and negotiation skills
• Significant experience in competition/antitrust
• Excellent interpersonal and management skills, including the ability to effectively lead a team that interacts with a wide range of personalities and negotiating styles and to establish effective relationships externally and internally at all organizational levels
• Strong self-motivation with demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
• Sound and practical business judgment
• Ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities
• Ability to work well in a large, fast-paced environment
We'd love it if you also had:
• Familiarity with acquisitions in the recorded music and music publishing industries, as well as related legal issues and recent developments
• Prior experience with vendor agreements and real estate agreements
• A love of music

Salary Range
$350,000 - $450,000 Annually
Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as work experience and business needs. The pay range is subject to change at any time dependent on a variety of internal and external factors.
