KTVT is looking for a Jib Operator to assist with our news and commercial production! As a JIB Operator, you will explore innovative technology creatively to ensure seamless AR/VR integration.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operate the jib/crane camera in the studio during newscast and rehearsals.
• Collaborate with producers, talent, directors, and engineers to develop shot movements and workflows to improve system capabilities.
• Work with our graphics design team to edit graphics and elements for the AR/VR environment.
• Train directors and engineers on the system functionality and capabilities while supporting News in advancing the boundaries of the systems capabilities.
• Partner with engineering and IT to understand the video and network paths and signal flows through the AR/VR system and supporting hardware.
• Act as a first responder and authority on AR/VR system failures or limitations affecting operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of experience operating a jib/crane camera.
• 5+ years of experience working in broadcast production.
• Proven experience and understanding of 3D graphics and how they work in a virtual environment.
• Ability to understand IP and video signal workflows to/from the AR/VR systems and equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience working with 3D tracking camera systems and the Unreal engine environment is a plus.
