• Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team of engineers focused on ad technologies and user experience.
• Drive the technical strategy and execution for ad integrations, including display, video, and programmatic ads.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize work that aligns with business goals and user needs.
• Guide the team through technical planning, discovery, and delivery of scalable ad solutions.
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural guidance, and hands-on contributions when needed.
• Ensure high standards of quality, performance, and reliability in all ad-related features and systems.
Your Role Accountabilities...
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing and growing engineering teams (5+ years preferred).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience hiring, onboarding, and mentoring engineers.
• Demonstrated success in delivering performant, scalable consumer-facing applications.
Ad Tech & Platform Expertise (Required)
• Deep understanding of ad development and integration across display and video formats, using Supply-Side Platforms (SSPs) like Google Ad Manager, Freewheel, and other 3rd party ad vendors and affiliate marketing solutions.
• Full-stack development experience with JavaScript, modern frameworks, HTML/CSS, and responsive design; Python experience is a plus.
• Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms for scalable infrastructure.
• Familiarity with A/B testing and consumer testing platforms to optimize ad performance and user experience.
• Knowledge of operational tools such as PagerDuty and experience managing an on-call team.
Nice to Haves...
• Proficiency with ad testing tools and industry best practices for validation and optimization.
• Strong grasp of ad performance metrics, real-time monitoring, and analytics interpretation.
• Experience developing scalable solutions for high-traffic, content-rich websites.
• Quick adaptability to emerging technologies, frameworks, and evolving ad tech ecosystems.
• A user-first mindset with a passion for balancing monetization strategies and seamless user experience.
