Job Description
The National Football League Digital Media Group is looking for an NGS Video Systems Operator that is highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. The role will require an individual with a flexible schedule that is punctual and dependable. The role will be expected to operate, monitor, and configure software relative to digital video distribution. This position is based in Inglewood, CA and does not offer relocation or remote work.
Responsibilities:
• Support live video ingest, routing, management, and scheduling workflows.
• Document, escalate, and manage video distribution incidents to resolution.
• Create and update operational runbooks for live on air workflows.
• Maintain documentation of video acquisition scheduling and live event programing.
• Setup, operate, and configure digital video systems for live event support.
• Provide live event support during the holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Perform quality control tasks for video streaming distribution.
Required Qualifications:
• BS degree and/or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 2-years experience in a Broadcasting Operations (BOC) or Network Operations Center (NOC) role.
• Solid troubleshooting experience in Linux/Mac/Windows environments.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of encoding standards, including H.264, H.265, AAC, GOP structure, I-P-B frame schemes, profiles, bit-rates, and aspect ratios.
• Knowledge of NDI, OBS Studio, SRT, Ffmpeg, RTMP,HLS,DASH.
• Video Broadcasting Experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Knowledge of Content Distribution Networks.
• Knowledge of bash or zsh command line interface.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows web servers.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SCP.

Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift and carry video equipment weighing less than 40lbs.
Travel:
• 0 - 10%
Terms /Expected Hours of Work
• Up to 7-month employment period
• Flexible schedule is a must including weekends, holidays, and late nights
Salary
$45 - $50 USD
