Director, Marketing Creative Direction

Job Description

As a Marketing Creative Director, you will report to the VP of Marketing and sit on a newly formed R&D Publishing Leadership Team. You will set a clear, bold vision and actively work to define how our Game and IP comes to life for players. You will do this by establishing the creative direction for a new brand and shepherding player-centric ideas across a myriad of tactic types. A master of collaboration, you will use your skills to work across Publishing, Product, and Studio partners and stakeholders – ensuring your work delivers a strong vision while upholding the central spirit of co-creation that makes our R&D title more than a game.

Responsibilities:
• Define and consistently execute the gold standard for R&D's Publishing creative work
• Build and manage an internal creative department while also developing a roster of agencies and - eventually be responsible for growth, development and performance management of your team
• Level up the overall Creative Direction craft by providing feedback on Publishing creative work
• Have a strategic grounding, honing your creativity to deliver what is right for product and players
• Hold a deep understanding of our game and players, using these insights to drive our best work
• Be a master collaborator, creating a sharp vision alongside a variety of crucial partners and stakeholders
• Lead cross-disciplinary teams (creative direction and design, writing, and art direction), ensuring you constantly adapt to new situations and push the team and work forward in meaningful ways
• Help partner with the Game EP and Publishing lead on developing our player journey and launch and campaign cadence strategies.
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of leading successful creative work in games marketing or creative agency
• 10+ years proven experience directing external video agencies and partners
• Deep gaming, entertainment, sports and culture knowledge
• Standard-setting portfolio that demonstrates clear vision, exceptional execution, and a storyteller's spirit that translates across mediums
• Experience collaborating across multiple craft disciplines and product partners
• Level-headed approach to change management, conflict resolution and patience through the fluctuating creative development process
• Knowledge of, and respect for, our product and players
Desired Qualifications:

• Deep direct, hands on experience with video craft, feedback, and direction

• (Los Angeles Only) Base salary range between $224,800.00 - $337,700.00 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
