Job Description
The Sr. Analyst, Application Portfolio Management will serve as a key contributor within the Enterprise Service Management Office (ESMO), reporting to the Senior Director of Service Engagement & Delivery. This role is designed for an experienced professional with 7 + years of relevant experience who can operate independently, support junior analysts, and perform critical operational tasks that ensure the accuracy, completeness, and strategic alignment of the enterprise application portfolio.
This position is based in Hyderabad.
Your Role Accountabilities:
APPLICATION PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT EXECUTION
• Maintain and enhance the accuracy of the Application Portfolio Management (APM) database, including data related to business applications, services, websites, mobile apps, and console games.
• Implement and refine automated and manual data quality processes to ensure compliance, completeness, and accuracy of application data.
• Support the implementation of APM disciplines and lifecycle management practices in collaboration with IT, business stakeholders, and platform teams.
• Generate and maintain dashboards and reports in ServiceNow to provide insights into application performance, utilization , and compliance.
• Develop and maintain i nformation objects, process documentation, and reporting templates to support APM operations.
• Identify and champion opportunities for continuous improvement, including automation of manual processes and enhancement of data governance practices.
COLLABORATION & STAKEHOLDER SUPPORT
• Serve as a liaison to the platform team for issue resolution and enhancement requests related to the application inventory.
• Partner with Governance and Compliance teams to ensure adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to support Common Service Data Model (CSDM) compliance.
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to junior team members and stakeholders on APM tools, processes, and best practices.
• Participate in cross-functional initiatives to support application rationalization and Technology Business Management (TBM) practices.
Qualifications & Experiences:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology , Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 5 + years of experience in ITSM/ITIL environments, with at least 2 years focused on application portfolio management , software development lifecycle and/ or software inventory management.
• Proven experience with ServiceNow, particularly the APM and CMDB modules.
• Strong understanding of application lifecycle management, cloud platforms (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), and integration with enterprise systems.
• Familiarity with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) and its application in ServiceNow.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, actionable reports and process documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently while mentoring and supporting junior staff.
Not Required but P referred E xperience:
• Experience with Technology Business Management (TBM) frameworks.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Lean Six Sigma).
• ITIL certification.
• Experience in media, entertainment, or global enterprise environments.
